Anyway, she would take weeks to reply and give me a simple sentence. I guess in Utah that’s considered loquacious, at least for women. I knew this state was conservative but I never imagined it this extreme. Since I knew she wouldn’t reply for a few weeks again, I asked at the beginning of December, ahead of time, how her Christmas / holidays was. I know my buddy Dave was curious if she would reply.   Being unemployed, I’m used to occasionally getting weird messages. MLMs thrive off of people who are terrible when it comes to math and exponential growth and dangle perks in front of you. “Wouldn’t you just love to go on a cruise that’s been paid for by the company?” No, I wouldn't Then there are the scammers offering obscene amounts of money for work that isn’t worth anything of the sort. Yet they often don’t even do the basic research. Simply asking them what their organization does has them shut down and just repeat that they’ll tell me at another date.   This time around, I got another one of those scammers. They pretended to be a legit company and even registered a domain that was similar but misspelled. So, they clearly put a bit more work into this. They invited me to a video interview and this piqued my interest. How would these scammers pretend to be someone else? Would there be a deepfake of the person? Or will they merely turn off their video and audio, and...
