Conspiracy Rantings #17 Trump Convicted of 34 Charges

Conspiracy is having a moment. Trump got convicted of 34 counts.   “I have sent Delta Force out to Judge Merchan”.   Not the jury though, you know, the ones who found him guilty.   “Now, listen. Don’t freak out guys. Don’t go all crazy.”   Oh, we’ve gone way past that point by now.   “Just remember to vote for Trump. When Trump wins, he can pardon himself. It is written in the constitution.” Nope. Not written at all. And these are state charges, so no president can.    "I am helping Trump."   Oh, well I guess we don't need to worry then.

A Special Match (Happy 100th Blog Entry)

Image
So, I got an interesting match on a dating app on Friday. Her profile said she was from Houston so I asked her about life at Houston and what brought her here but she didn’t feel like answering that. Instead asking me how I was. Well, you know me, still the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. The Universe’s one true constant. I asked how she was doing this week. She was here in Provo for a few days but would be heading back home on Sunday. So, these messages went back and forth pretty quickly. I’d send her a message and she’d send one right back. So I replied and so did she shortly after. Kind of suspicious because normally I have to wait a day or two or three or a week. - _ - But this is how conversations are normally supposed to go so kind of not suspicious as well. But, at the same time, scammers do try and love-bomb losers to get their attention.             “They love-bomb losers? Don’t you get that?” Yes. ...

Conspiracy Rantings #16 Relationship Edition Part 2

He’s talking about some Kenzie.   “Your management is getting between us. I hate them.”   Ok, so this scammer is pretending to be someone named Kenzie? I assumed Kenzie was a real person but maybe the scammer he was talking to is this Kenzie?   “I don’t like the management team in my life. They’re controlling my relationship with Kenzie.”   “Sorry I have a lot of debt”   Which only makes things worse with his scammers.   “So, Kenzie’s management. You’re gonna make me pay $500? Are you out of your minds?”   Someone definitely is. Ok, so the scammer from yesterday and this Kenzie are one and the same.   “You’re not in charge of nobody, besides me.” I think he meant to phrase that different.   “I’m not gonna hate you, Kenzie. I’m going to be getting 900,000 dollars coming in soon! And you’re going to walk away? Ok, you do what you want.”   I don’t know where this sudden windfall of cash is ...

Conspiracy Rantings #15 Relationship Edition

This one is kind of crazy (More crazy than normal, I mean. I know his rantings are already crazy enough.) “I’m way more famous than you are! I’m out of The Bible.”   I do not know who he’s talking to…or who he is pretending to talk to. Ge talks way different to himself, more assertive. Whereas when he talks to people, he’s far more passive. But it sounds like he’s involved with another scammer. Talking about how this relationship is torture.   “I have over 8 billion people who know who I am. I have 9 billion people who know who I am!”   I just want to tell you that I am not splicing two sentences together here. That was one sentence and the following one a few seconds later came the other. Given this exponential growth, I think we’ll cover every atom in the galaxy by the end of the day. And he did say billion, with a b. There’s only 8 billion people on the planet. So, where is this other billion coming from? I guess it includes dead people. Or maybe th...

Stay-at-Home Parent Job Posting

Image
I got a job recommendation from LinkedIn. This happens regularly, most of the time I’m a good fit so I apply. What’s the worst that can happen? They reject me? I’m used to it : P But this job recommendation today is a bit unique. Stay-at-Home Parent. First of all, I didn’t know this was a job. I mean, I know it’s difficult. Don’t get me wrong. I’ve babysat before and taking care of kids is tough. And, as a parent, you don’t get to clock out. So it’s really more a lifestyle than job, right? I just didn’t know being a parent was something you could be paid for. Then again, it’s not like I would know, right? Which leads me to my 2 nd point, why does LinkedIn think I’m qualified for this?             “You like to stay home all the time, right? You’re already halfway there!” Yeah, but staying home is the easy half of that job. It requires me to do nothing. The parent portion of that job is the part I’d have trouble with. I...
