Mango Smoothie
Do you ever eat something and it’s just…not right. So not
right that you can’t leave the meal at that. You have to redeem your meal. I
went through that today. I was making my favorite mango smoothie and I noticed
that there were some small bags of frozen mangos from Western Family in the
back of my freezer that I never use. I couldn’t remember why. I just always
used the “Name Brand” Mangos. Well, I was feeling a bit adventurous so I dug
them out and decided to use them.
So I decided to give it a try and I immediately remembered
why I never use these. The mangos are less sweet and more tart. They’re not
quite ripe. I’m not sure who Western Family is but they clearly don’t know
mangos. Also, their mangos were sub-par for making smoothies. It doesn’t…how do
I put this…smooth very well. Thicken, that’s the word. So it leaves you with
less of a smooth and more of a mush. So I had tart mush. Now I know why those
mangos are always stuck in the back. They’re “emergency” mango. Like those
de-hydrated foods you keep in case you ever run out of real food.
I decided to make another smoothie, this time with the real
mangos. However, I couldn’t waste what I had already made. So I poured it out
of the blender, ate it then made another one just so I could end the meal on a
high note. Anyway, in case you guys were wondering why I’m fat, that’s why.
